Awards for Excellence - for College Faculty

College Faculty Awards for Excellence

The College Faculty Awards for Excellence program, started in 2005 and continuing through 2009, provides campus presidents with the means for rewarding faculty achievements “above and beyond the normal requirements of the individual’s position(s)” and that address outcomes that are connected to student learning.

The CFAE program is a campus-based program.  Most guidelines and procedures are developed and implemented  by campus-based committees.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Fiscal Year 2009 funds were distributed to campuses in late June, 2008.  FY09 allocations were the same as FY08.
  • FY09 funds must be committed by June 30, 2009.
  • FY09 funds must be fully paid to faculty by the pay period ending August 18, 2009. We suggest communicating closely with your campus business, payroll, or finance office(s) to determine specific timelines and/or procedures.
  • Employer-paid portions of fringe benefits associated with each award should be calculated as part of the campus allocation. So, for example, projects totaling $100,000 may require about $120,000 in Awards for Excellence funds.
